There is no reason to worry about having the correct secondary adapter, and no foil tape to mess with.

The COP-III attaches to the primary side of the coil. It features two built in indicators of ignition system integrity:-A green LED that illuminates when a trigger is present from the module or PCM.-A red neon light which glows when there is an inductive kick present that exceeds 70V.These allow you to easily verify module and coil activity.

Features

The COP-III features a momentary switch that enables you to safely and easily kill a cylinder.
The COP-III doesn't stop there, it has a female BNC output which allows an easy connection to your lab scope. Now you can analyze the spark line just like you're accustomed to doing. *It's important to keep in mind that some lab scopes don't have a wide enough voltage display range to view the entire inductive kick from the primary. This normally isn't a problem since you still have a good view of the spark line.
