The Miller Brothers came to the United States from
Germany in 1906 and began a small business making replacement bicycle
parts. They developed an excellent reputation for making quality parts
at a fair price. In 1913 the Dodge Brothers recruited them to make production line
tooling for their plants. In 1915 the Dodge Brothers recognized the fact that Special Tools were required to repair their vehicles. They chose the best "Outside Supplier" to
work in conjunction with them to supply these special tools to the Dodge Dealers.
Miller Tool & Manufacturing Company was expanded to accommodate this new demand. In 1928 Walter P. Chrysler purchased the business
from the Dodge Brothers and formed the Chrysler LLC. He looked at the
practices implemented by the Dodge Brothers and decided to continue on
in the same fashion. Today Miller Special Tools remains the primary supplier of Special
Tools to the Chrysler LLC
